1. Is it a non-stick?

Yes, the tin coating makes these non-stick & easy cookware.

2. Is it safe to bake all types of food?

Yes, it's safe to cook everything in it.

3. How long will it require tin coating (kalai) again?

It depends entirely on your utility; the more you use it, the sooner you require it. [Eg. For a product like a saucepan that you use daily to make tea and will need again in 3-4 months, don't panic. We've got you covered. We have a DIY Kalai Kit for you]

4. Why should you use it?

It quickly releases on the edges if baked perfectly. You don't need parchment paper; brushing it with oil/butter is enough.

You can bake cakes, cinnamon rolls, pies, and buns.

5. Is it Microwave-safe?

No, it's not.

1. Brass and copper are good conductors of heat, so when used as bakeware, they help you save time. They are a smart step towards sustainability.

2. Do not leave it on gas without oil, as Kalai might melt, leading to its early fading. Since it is tin-coated, it can easily be used on the stove for grilling, cooking, etc.

hacks to shine

Maintain the shine

P-TAL utensils can be cleaned just like your other utensils. For bringing back the shine, follow the steps mentioned below:

Wash the utensil with only water to begin with.

Apply some Pitambari powder and scrub on all parts of the wet vessel.

If you don’t have Pitambari, use a mixture of 1 bowl of wheat flour (atta), 1 spoon of salt and 2-3 spoons of vinegar.

Rinse off the Pitambari or your home-made paste with water and wipe off any excess moisture.

your vessel will now shine like it’s brand new!
And voila!, your vessel will now shine like it’s brand new!
