Dosa, a popular dish of South India that resembles a thin pancake, is a delicacy enjoyed by everyone in the world. However, the finesse required to make this makes it truly delicious. Our Dosa Tawa is here to upgrade your cooking game.

The brass dosa tawa from P-TAL makes cooking and eating a memorable experience. The healthy metal keeps the nutrition intact. The size of the tawa makes the cooking of dosas quick and easy. Additionally, P-Tal's Dosa Tawa provides more heat in comparison to any other non-stick tawa.

P-TAL's 12" dosa tawa should be soaked in oil overnight. This avoids the sticking of the dosa batter on the tawa, making it glide and fold easily.

Brass Dosa Tawa can be used to cook a variety of dishes, including dosas, pancakes, and Chillas. Since it is tin-coated on the inside, it is naturally non-stick and enhances the taste too.

Note: We are facing delays due to high demand, and it may take two weeks to dispatch this order.

  • Size in inches (LxBxH): 11x11 x 1 (roughly, can vary due to handcrafted)
  • Weight in kg : between 1.1 - 1.2
  • Finish: A beautiful plain finish with a golden look on the outside (handcrafted in pure brass) with a tin-coated and a silver finish on the inside.
  • Note:  Any variation in weight and size are the characteristics of handcrafted products. The product does not come with the ladle in the image. The ladle is just for reference and can be bought from the brass ladle set on our website.
  • 1. Why is the product tin coated?

We got our product tested by a food expert and it is completely safe to make dosas or pancakes on it without being worried about sticking.

  • 2. Here is a quick hack for making the first dosa. Make a chapati or paratha on it, then leave it overnight with some oil spread all over (preferably sesame oil). In morning you shall have a seamless experience.
  • 1. We saw our Thatheras using brass tawas in their houses. But, we didn't quite realise the market potential of this product at that time. However, we love the response and the increasing requirement of a lot of our customers for our tawa.

  • 2. Since brass and copper are good conductors of heat, they help you to save gas. They are a smart step towards sustainability.

hacks to shine

Maintain the shine

P-TAL utensils can be cleaned just like your other utensils. For bringing back the shine, follow the steps mentioned below:

01

Wash the utensil with only water to begin with.

02

Apply some Pitambari powder and scrub on all parts of the wet vessel.

03

If you don’t have Pitambari, use a mixture of 1 bowl of wheat flour (atta), 1 spoon of salt and 2-3 spoons of vinegar.

04

Rinse off the Pitambari or your home-made paste with water and wipe off any excess moisture.

your vessel will now shine like it’s brand new!
And voila!, your vessel will now shine like it’s brand new!

Great quality and non stick product!

The tawa is of premium quality and is multipurpose.
As soon as I received the product and noticed the shine on it, I was worried that it would fade away with multiple uses, but the quality is supreme and this product is here to stay in my kitchen!!

The non stickiness and the health benefits combined make it the perfect tawa.
