A dollop of ghee dripping on the hot paranthas is a site that spreads joy and comfort. P-Tal's Brass Ghee Pot has a hammered design that gives it a vintage look. The beautiful brass ghee pot is a perfect companion to your kitchen setup. It comes with a lid and a spoon, making the storage and usage easy.

  • Size in Inches (LxBxH): 4.x4.x3
  • Capacity: 200 ml
  • Finish: A beautiful hammered finish with a golden look on the outside (handcrafted in pure brass) with a tin-coated and a silver finish on the inside.
  • Weight in Kg: 0.2-0.3
  • Note: Any variation in weight and size are the characteristics of handcrafted products. It does not require tin coating.
  • 1. Why is the Ghee Pot not tin coated?

Usually, brass is coated with tin to prevent any toxic reactions. However, if we keep ghee in a tin-coated product, it shall turn unusable within a week. It is important to remember that brass only reacts with sour stuff.

  • 2. Does it tarnish?

Yes. Purity has its way of being visible. As pure silver turns black over time, pure brass also tarnishes.

  • 3. What if the Ghee turns Green?

If the ghee comes in contact with salt, the ghee might turn green. Even if a salty spoon comes in contact with ghee, the ghee will slowly turn green. It is best to get rid of that ghee, clean the pot with clean water and pour in a fresh batch of ghee.

  • Science has now proved that copper-rich (brass is an alloy of copper and zinc) foods boost collagen. Therefore, brass is good for our skin too. Brass is one of the best metals used for serving and has several mentions in ancient texts, including Ayurveda.

    frequently asked questions

No, these metals cannot be used on induction cooktops since these are non-magnetic

Can we use copper for drinking warm water?

It is ideally recommended to use copper for normal room temperature water.

How long does the tin coating (kalai) last on cookware utensils?

    hacks to shine

    Maintain the shine

P-TAL utensils can be cleaned just like your other utensils. For bringing back the shine, follow the steps mentioned below:

Wash the utensil with only water to begin with.

Apply some Pitambari powder and scrub on all parts of the wet vessel.

If you don’t have Pitambari, use a mixture of 1 bowl of wheat flour (atta), 1 spoon of salt and 2-3 spoons of vinegar.

Rinse off the Pitambari or your home-made paste with water and wipe off any excess moisture.

your vessel will now shine like it’s brand new!
And voila!, your vessel will now shine like it’s brand new!
