  • Wash with mild soap and a soft sponge. The naturally non-stick Malaysian tin lining (kalai) makes cleaning brass and copper cookware easier and gentler than other metals.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners or steel wool

To maintain the shine:

  • Use our de-oxidising cleaning solution or a natural homemade scrub (atta + salt + lemon)
  • Dry thoroughly after each wash to prevent watermarks

Note: The tin lining (kalai) is a traditional method that may fade with time. A re-kalai can restore its surface and continue its long life.

I understand copper develops black marks but I haven't seen a case where the marks are more like spots, where they need rigorous cleaning and scrubbing. For a product this expensive, it shouldn't be the case.

Following my doctor's recommendation, I started drinking water stored overnight in a copper glass every morning on an empty stomach. As advised by P-TAL, I noticed a few black spots forming on the glass over time. This is a natural process, as pure copper oxidizes when exposed to water, forming copper oxide.
